Alaa Al Jassar from Kuwait takes her inspiration from Japan and India. Her gowns are intricately designed using materials like Indian silk and others more from Japan and Thailand. Alaa is a Petroleum Engineer and graduated in Japan. She's also an avid traveler and explorer.
Homa Qamar is of Indian descent but was born and raised in UAE. Her passion for fashion is deeply rooted in blending different mediums of art, culture, fabrics with modern sharp tailoring, embellishments and cuts for modern women. Her line includes abayas and sheilas for daily, formal and semi-formal wear.
Mona De Sabkar, half Egyptian and half German, has been living in Dubai since the age of two. Her designs and styles are influenced by her studies and travels to New York, London, Paris and Milan and particularly from the creations of Karim Rashid and Philippe Starck. She loves applying the shock-factor in her creations, aptly called "Neon Edge."
Sara Madani hails from UAE and with her extensive and vast studies, her venture to fashion was a natural success. She and her Chinese partner Elizabeth Apple Wang began the Rouge Couture Abayas, which are copyrighted and having the wonderful feel of elasticity.
Last but not the least, Sheikha Hend Faisal Al Qassemi of Qatar. Her line Medici uses designs that vary from comfortable silk blouses, to light cool wool silk-lined jersey suits, to the intricate silk and wool embroidered abayas. All of which are made of top quality materials.
